“Tell them you’ve never seen them” – Prosecution displays recordings of Thaçi’s conversations with Hajredin Kuçi

  • One of the members of the Prosecution in The Hague began his address before the court regarding the second indictment against Hashim Thaçi for obstruction of justice, an indictment that also includes Isni Kilaj, Bashkim Smakaj, Hajredin Kuçi, and Fadil Fazliu.
  • The prosecutor displayed on screen several statements that Thaçi allegedly made during meetings and conversations he had with the accused in this case and with other individuals, which were intercepted.
  • “Tell them that from 1994–1998 you have never seen these two. Close it,” Thaçi is alleged to have told Hajredin Kuçi during a visit in 2023.
