Three American service members have been killed in action. These are the first confirmed casualties since the launch of U.S. strikes against Iran on Saturday.
Five other soldiers have been seriously wounded, according to the U.S. military.
Announcing the U.S. operation against Iran, President Donald Trump warned that “the lives of American heroes may be lost and we may have casualties. This often happens in war.”
