Two serious accidents occurred almost simultaneously. In Devoll, an 85-year-old woman died after being hit by a car moving in reverse.
“Around 14:15, in the village of Vishocicë, a 49-year-old man from Korçë, A. P., is suspected of causing an accident while reversing his vehicle, hitting 85-year-old pedestrian A. M., who died as a result of the collision,” the local police reported. Following the incident, the driver was taken in for questioning, and “procedural actions are being carried out,” according to the police statement.
In Fier, a 36-year-old man died when an agricultural vehicle overturned.
“Around 14:40, in the village of Peshtan Bregas, 36-year-old H. D., while driving an agricultural machine (rotavator), reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which overturned and trapped him underneath, resulting in his death. The investigative team is at the scene working to clarify all circumstances of the case,” the statement said.
