The U.S. Navy base in Bahrain has been struck by an Iranian drone, according to the BBC.
A senior Bahraini official told the British outlet that the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain was hit by an Iranian drone, which caused a large fire.
The drone reportedly crashed very close to the United Kingdom’s naval facility adjacent to the U.S. zone. However, there were no casualties, as the area had been evacuated prior to the escalation of the conflict.
Meanwhile, Gulf foreign ministers are currently holding an online meeting to discuss the possible closure of their embassies in Tehran, following the example set by the United Arab Emirates.
