One of the names rumored as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Murat Jashari, told Vox Kosova that he has made it clear that he has no ambition to engage in politics whenever his name has been mentioned in this context.
He stated that he has neither moral nor professional right to use the Jashari family name for political calculations or public positions.
“More than anything, for me as Murat, it is the Jashari family name; it is a heavy burden on my shoulders. I have neither moral nor professional right to involve the Jashari family name in political calculations or public positions.
“My name, regarding this matter, has been mentioned every time the issue of the presidency arises. I have explained to the protagonists that I have no political ambitions, so find another name,” he told Vox Kosova.
“I have made my reasons clear why I am not doing it,” he added.
“The Jashari family belongs to all Albanians, and they all belong to us,” Murat Jashari said.
