Air raid sirens were activated and explosions were heard over West Jerusalem after the Israeli military said it had detected missiles launched from Iran toward Israel.
“Shortly ago, the Israeli military identified missiles launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel,” the army said, as reported by Telegrafi.
“Defense systems are operating to intercept the threat,” the statement added, urging civilians to remain in shelters.
Meanwhile, Iranian media report that Israeli forces have struck a hospital in the Iranian capital.
So far, there are no reports of fatalities or injuries in the attack on the hospital.
