New threats against Cyprus were issued by Revolutionary Guard General Ebrahim Jabari.
“The Americans have transferred most of their aircraft to Cyprus. We will launch so many missiles at Cyprus that the Americans will be forced to leave even there,” Jabari said.
“So far, we have fired approximately 3,000 first- and second-generation missiles,” he noted, announcing new attacks: “In the coming days, we will definitely use third- and fourth-generation missiles. Around 10,000 drones have already been deployed in the air.”
Iran launches attacks toward Europe, bombs British military base
Following Iranian strikes on the British base in Akrotiri, Cyprus, Greek Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias announced that Greece is sending two frigates to Cyprus, after communication between Prime Minister Mitsotakis and President Christodoulides. These are the Kimonas frigate and another navy frigate equipped with the Centaurus anti-drone system. At the same time, Greece is also sending a pair of F-16 fighter jets to Cyprus. Tomorrow, Minister Dendias will also travel to Nicosia.
“Mr. Mitsotakis spoke a short while ago with Mr. Christodoulides. I am in continuous communication with my counterpart. After the unprovoked attacks, I assured him that Greece will contribute to the defense of Cyprus throughout the crisis. Following this, and in accordance with a decision by KYSEA, the Kimonas frigate is being deployed immediately, along with a second Greek frigate carrying the ‘Centaurus’ system. A pair of F-16 fighter jets are also being sent to the Republic of Cyprus. Additionally, for better coordination, I will travel to Cyprus tomorrow with the Chief of the General Staff,” said the Minister of National Defense after the meeting at the ministry.
